Raised in Nottingham, Hardy developed an early fascination with urban form and geometry. Experiences such as witnessing the demolition of large concrete buildings shaped his interest in bold shapes and skyline composition. This influence remains central to his work today.
His paintings explore contrast. Strong architectural lines and graphic structures are softened by flowing elements such as trees, light, and atmosphere. This balance creates visually engaging compositions that feel both structured and expressive.

Hardy studied Fine Art and Car Design, graduating with a first-class honours degree in Vehicle Design before completing a master’s degree at the Royal College of Art. He went on to work with Lotus and BMW before becoming a full-time artist in 2003.
His work has been widely exhibited across the UK and internationally, including solo shows, cruise exhibitions, and high-profile commissions for public figures and corporate clients.
