The Connor Brothers

The Connor Brothers are among the most distinctive and thought-provoking names in contemporary art. Blending humour, nostalgia and social commentary, their work explores the blurred line between truth and fiction, challenging viewers to question what they see and what they believe.

Working under the creative identity of The Connor Brothers, artists Mike Snelle and James Golding built an artistic world rooted in storytelling, irony and cultural observation. Their retro-inspired artworks combine imagery reminiscent of vintage pulp fiction covers with sharp, witty quotations from celebrated writers, philosophers and cultural icons. The result is artwork that is both visually striking and intellectually engaging.

The duo first emerged through an intentionally fictional backstory, a creative device that reflected the very themes their art explores. What began as an artistic experiment quickly captured the attention of the contemporary art world, with collectors and critics drawn to both the narrative and the originality of the work itself.

At the heart of their collection is a fascination with human behaviour, modern culture and the contrast between appearance and reality. Their pieces often balance humour with deeper emotional and social themes, encouraging audiences to reflect on identity, truth, relationships and the pressures of modern life.

Alongside their artistic success, Mike and James have remained committed to supporting important social causes. Their work has been connected with campaigns surrounding refugee awareness, mental health and social inequality, including collaborations with charities such as CALM and projects linked to Dismaland.

The Connor Brothers have exhibited internationally with sell-out shows across London, New York, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Dubai, Berlin and Sydney. Their work is held in prestigious private and museum collections including the Victoria and Albert Museum. Their growing global profile has established them as one of the most collectable and recognisable contemporary art collaborations working today.

At Bloom Fine Art, we are proud to present a curated selection of The Connor Brothers’ originals and limited editions, celebrating artwork that is bold, witty and instantly memorable.
