For more than three decades, Sherree Valentine Daines has been recognised as one of Britain’s most celebrated and collectable contemporary artists. Widely regarded as the leading figure in modern British Impressionism, her elegant and atmospheric paintings capture the charm, sophistication and fleeting beauty of British life with remarkable warmth and refinement.
Often referred to as “the face of modern British Impressionism”, Sherree is admired for her ability to bring social scenes, coastal moments, sporting occasions and intimate portraits vividly to life. In 2019, Sherree was appointed Artist in Residence for Cunard’s iconic Three Queens ocean liners, Queen Elizabeth, Queen Victoria and Queen Mary 2, a fitting recognition for an artist whose work so perfectly captures elegance, culture and timeless British style.
